DELHI, NY -- SUNY Delhi swept the ACAA Cross Country Championships on a wet, windy and cold day. Alfred State's Julia Russell covered the course in 25:00 claimed the women's individual championship and Kobie Lane repeated as the men's champion with a 27:09 clocking. The women's 6K and men's 8K races took place on the SUNY Delhi campus golf course in Delhi, NY.
The Bronco women tallied 42 points to edge Alfred State by one point (43). Pratt finished third with 49 points while Mills was fourth with 115 and Finlandia finished fifth with 126 points. Delhi had four runners in the top eleven. Alfred State had three runners in the top eight while Pratt had three in the top 10. Valley Forge and Finlandia also competed but did not have enough runners for a team score.
SUNY Delhi placed nine runners in the top 10 of the standings, including the top three, to claim the men's crown wih 17 points. Alfred State had one runner in the top 10 finishers to take second place with 46 points. Pratt scored 85 points to finish third while Valley Forge did not have a complete team..
The top seven runners of each gender have earned first-team All-ACAA honors while the 8th-14th place finishers are considered All-ACAA second team.
